As a DJ or producer, there is nothing more time-consuming and boring than cutting loops out of music. Loop-X cuts through the crap and gives you the goods with a single button push! Loop-X is designed to scan your favourite songs, and instantly provide you with a loop ready for saving!

How to Cut a Loop

So how exactly do you cut out a sample loop from a song?   This is how easy it is:

1. Scan a song ( press the scan button )

 2. Press the "Save Loop" button , once the song has been scanned.

It's that simple!  There are cases where fine-tuning adjustments may be necessary; Loop-X provides you with all the tools needed to adjust the loop exactly to your liking! Please take a look at the screenshot links in the bar on the right side of this page!

Navigate!

The navigation buttons make it easy to move forward and backwards through a song, and the stretch, pinch, push and pull buttons allow you to make very fine adjustments to ensure that you are capturing the loop exactly the way you want to. The end and beginning of the loop is displayed as a zoomed waveform, thus enabling a producer to use visual cues as well as audio cues.

Fine Tuning

Even though Loop-X's BPM detector is very reliable, sometimes it makes errors. Loop-X provides you with a series of simple tools to quickly and effeciently fix any problems. Where a loop is slightly too long, "Pinch" buttons are provided which allow you to slightly shorten the loop to your liking. If a loop is too short, "Stretch" buttons are provided. There are also cases where the loop does not quite start in the proper place. In such situations, you can make fine adjustments to the loop start and end points with the custom navigation buttons.

More Features...

But there is much more: You can scan and find breaks in a song, so that more ambient parts can be "cut", you can place a "reference loop" over each auditioned sample, so that loop alignment is assured, and you can mash up your loops with the bonus add-on, the Loop Mangler. In addition, the tempo of a loop can be adjusted to any BPM requried, and the pitch can be preserved if necessary. Loop-X reads both .mp3s and wave files, so you don't have to worry about conversions. Click here to see a screenshot of the GUI.
